Make Your Own Farsi Letters with Air-Dry Clay

In this fun and hands-on workshop, students will learn how to make their own letters of the Farsi alphabet with air-dry clay, forming different words with them. At the beginning of each session, the instructor reviews the session’s letters (4-5 letters per session), their sounds, and how each letter is written. Through interactive activities similar to the game Scrabble, students and their instructor make different words with their letters. In this workshop, students review the Farsi alphabet, learn to work with clay, and learn basic principles of writing in Farsi such as the direction to write and how to connect different letters together.

• Crayola air-dry clay
• Water-based paints (e.g., watercolor, acrylic)

• disposable knife

Farsi Level: Basic knowledge of Farsi alphabet required
