Paria Ahmadi

Paria Ahmadi (b. 1998, Ahvaz, Iran) lives and works in New York. She earned a BFA from the Art University of Tehran in 2021 and an MFA from Parsons School of Design in 2023. Her multidisciplinary practice spans printmaking, video performance, sound, and installation, often collaborating with contemporary jazz musicians and writers. Paria’s work has been exhibited and published internationally in the United States, Iran, Germany, Canada, and China. She has been awarded several grants and residencies, including the LESP Keyholder Residency, Women’s Studio Workshop Art-In-Education Workspace Residency, SVA RisoLab Publishing Residency, and DAAD fellowships. Paria teaches at multiple institutions and centers equity, radical care, and imagination in both artistic method and educational philosophy.
